Believe me I know Windows and if it were hardware related Windows would have failed it in a heartbeat! Right now I'm upset. I used the same machine and installed Windows Server Standard 2008, same wifi card and it connected no problem and d/l 450 Mb of data with no dropped carrier. IE: dropping connection 15-30 seconds after booting up.

Update: Reinstalled Unbuntu Desktop, the wifi card connected correctly as I told it to download and install updates while running. A little sluggish but it ran, an Ubuntu server will have no problem on a P-4 in a VM.
